We provide our clients with strategic counsel on a broad range of intellectual property issues. For example, we provide clients with practical advice concerning offensive and defensive intellectual property positions and render infringement, non-infringement and invalidity legal opinions when appropriate. In some situations, our practical advice builds on an analysis of infringement risks and can result in mitigation strategies or help to focus design teams on non-infringing product configurations. We may also perform ‘freedom to operate’ studies for new products or processes. In other situations, we may help you assess an investment opportunity by evaluating patentability and infringement issues or by evaluating the strength of an intellectual property portfolio. Our attorneys can also develop and implement strategic patent filing programs including, when appropriate, developing disclosure programs and participating in patent committees.
